How to Use Your Personal Blog to Drive Traffic to Triond

Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette is my personal blog.  I was blogging on it months before I discovered Triond.  WordPress is my blog host.  I am not allowed to have ads on my blog with the type of blog I have; but I am allowed to place as many links on my blog as I want.  I have 1,000s of links to my Triond Account.  That’s how the Gazette makes money for me.

The Gazette template is three columns.  In the left column are Blog Stats, Top Post, Pages, Archives, Recent Posts, Recent Comments and Categories.

In the middle is my daily content.  The front page is set up to show the last 20 posts.

In the third column is the Calender and under this is the blogroll.  The blogroll consist of A Writer’s Profile, Blogging For Fun And Profit, Great American Flash Fiction To Read, More Flash Articles and Writers.  Underneath Blogging For Fun And Profit, Great American Flash Fiction To Read and More Flash Articles are hundreds of titles from my Triond Account that a reader can see and once clicked on takes the reader right to that piece.  I get a hit.

Having all these links to my Triond content in the blogroll also means that if a reader finds one post of my blog by a search engine the entire blogroll of links to Triond appears with that single post.  The blogroll appears with every post.

Plus, I place Triond links in the content of the individual posts.

I know there is a Triond widget a blogger can place on a personal blog, but I prefer my method.  I have over 1,000 postings on my blog.  I have over 1,000 chances that a reader will see something in the blogroll that he or she would want to click on.

This is how I use my personal blog to drive traffic to my Triond Account.
