How do the gurus manage to get hundreds or even thousands of page views for free? How do they increase their website popularity without spending a penny? How do they increase their search ranking?
As a writer, you want your work to get read. You may write article by article, but none of your article can bring traffic to your site. Your articles still receive very low or even zero page view. You ask yourself, “What’s wrong with my work?” No matter how hard you put effort into your works, your work has not been well recognizable. Worse still, you’ve zero page view. Do you know what the problem is? It’s sometime not because of the thing you wrote, but it concerns much on the link to your article. That means you’ve a very poor back link.
Well, you may get the back links, but it’ll take a very long time. Worst yet, “real” back links from the related websites seem to be nearly impossible. How do the gurus manage to get hundreds of back links for free? In this article, I’ll share with you the knowledge from what I’ve learnt from them and my personal writing experience.
Back link is by far the best strategy which is used to attract readers/ visitors to your article/ website. It can be considered as the most profitable long-term traffic generation strategies if you’d like to have search engine ranked you high on the internet. How could I do this? Below are some useful hints to get you down on the road:
- Browse through a website called Yahoo! Answers. Take some time to comment, answer or suggest your opinions to the related question. Make sure that you leave a link to your related article/ website. The important thing you’ve to bear in mind that you shouldn’t simply leave an unclear, simple and casual answer as this shows that you’re not professional. Your answer must be correct, appropriate and relevant. So, before you plan to leave your answer here, do some research to verify that your answer is correct. If you make a plain answer or you make a boo-boo at this website, the other users will spam your site. Some users may fight you back in flames. Nevertheless, they’re still some considerate users who will not spam your site. Just get yourself ready, if you plan to do so in order to show your credibility in your article/ website. (warning: If you plan to give your opinions here, make sure that you read their guidelines carefully here).
- Visit epinion.com and start posting your opinions on the products and services that are related to your website. Remember to leave the back links to your related post or website. You should give your answer in a professional way. Don’t just post opinion like “great”, “awesome”, “wonderful device”, “I like this”, “cool stuff”, “nice dude” and etc. If you do this, the viewers will spam your post or website. Avoid posting only one sentence or a five word sentence. Like Yahoo! Answers, don’t post junk here! Try to write at least three to four sentences to show your credibility.
- The other way to generate back links is linking your site to a forum or a discussion board. Here, use your catchy title and your preferable keywords within your links to prepare a signature file that direct to your website, web page or blog. You can also use the search engine like Google to help you locating forums on the subjects related to your site using your favorable or density rich keywords based upon SEO strategy.
- Locate your blog or website with your preferable keywords that you consider related to your website or blog. Visit at least two of other people’s blogs every week by leaving a short comment along with the back link to your site as a promising way to increase traffic to your site. Make sure that you provide visitors with detailed, quality and well research information to get them visit your site again and again. Make sure you update your site every week to get them back. It’s also wiser to write a topic that is not found elsewhere on the internet. Each time when you leave comments on other people’s blog or website, remember to add your back links into the additional information for the related topic along with your comments.
- Use the Triond’s credentials (below the comment’s box) to leave your comments in your friend’s work at Triond. The more comments you leave the more back links will point to your author’s page. Over time, you’ll just have to sit there and see the result.
- The last alternative is for you to exchange links with other websites or blogs that have the same topics or themes as yours. First, you should find the reliable sites by contacting them. You ask them whether they’re willing to leave your link below their article. In exchange, you promise to display theirs. This should be done with great confidence and reliability. Beware of the websites or blogs that will get advantage of you to illegally “steal” more links for them. The more links you exchange with other blog users or website owners, the better chances of your site to be ranked higher by the search engines.
Frankly speaking, getting high quality back links to your website is not an easy job. How do the gurus manage to get thousands and even millions of back links every month with ease? The answer is simple. They know exactly how to legally “steal” the best back links. They take a couple of minutes to search for some highly related websites. I’m still not sure how they do it as I’m still learning. Maybe this is an answer I’d like to find out.

It is a very complete article. I agree with you back links is one of the most effective way to increase traffic. There are also social networks that allow you to put links, and you can look for blogs with topics related to your articles using google.

Filled with great tips useful to many. I will work on implementing these into my work from now on to increase advertising. I wish I had read this days ago before posting an article on another site.
Hope you had a good couple of days vacation!
December 30th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
I’d love to say ‘great article’ or ‘a must read’ but this strikes me as simply another article explaining (not very well) how to get traffic. There are eight-million fifty-two others, and many are the same. This one doesn’t even explain any diverse ways. Only leave backlinks and advertise your articles subtly everywhere you possibly can.
Here’s a little less vague tip for getting article traffic: Write an article on how to get article traffic.

Nice article! I was hoping for someone look you to explain how these things work. I write a lot of articles and sometimes I am lucky and sometimes not. My main point is keywording and I usually tend to ignore everything else.

Good read and great info thanks for putting it up.
I have also found out that the best thing to do is research what topics are “hot”
Hot topics are ones that are or will be searched for and theres not a lot of refrences.

Good article. Lot of practical tips. I can add to it social bookmarking – one of the few types of social networks. No publishing is required, just bookmarking an interesting website, blog post or article. There is an automated option to bookmark on a large number of services in a blip! You must install a small widget on your site or blog and use it from there. You can also install it on your browser, but this is not effective enough.
If you want to see how this works, see it on one of my blogs:

Chan…
Having done a lot of research on this, your article is spot on! I also want to add that implementing and utilizing all that you suggest involves a lot of dedicated time…it does not happen quickly and overnight. The hard work and time invested will definitely pay off…”patience is definitely a virtue!” Thanks for posting this.

Hi!
Well you have done a great job by putting almost everything in your article about back links and other tactics, internet pundits and gurus use to increase traffic to their sites. I will try my best to follow your instructions. Two thumbs up my dear!!!!
January 1st, 2009 at 10:54 am
What a terrific article…I did not know anything about back links, your title drew me to the article. You did a fantastic job of explaining the process of back links. You were very realistic and frank regarding the amount of work and the possible returns. I also appreciated your honesty in revealing that there is even more for you to learn. I hope when you learn more you will share that too!
Warmest Regards,

I agree, the best way to gain recognition is to build a strong reader and friend base, Much the way Lauren does. She takes a lot of time to put effort into displaying other writers. This network building is the single best way to get views, because loyal readers will read every article you pst.

Hey really good article, a little complicated but i will give it a try and comment back on how it went. please check out my stuff:
http://www.triond.com/users/Gary+F+Kett
heres an example of my work:
I dream of writing,
I write of dreaming.
My pen has a mind of its own,
And the ink tells stories unknown.
I sit here in sun, sleet or hail,
And write about ships at sale.
I write of a far-away land,
Where I walk upon a pearly sand,
When I write I feel free,
When I write I can see;
Open oceans and breaking waves,
Magnificent mountains and the deepest caves.
Writing is a place of its own,
Writing is a place unknown.

Chan,
I think blogging is the easiest thing to do. We can make it SEO friendly blog within our own interested topics. Then keep writing reviews of our article of a group of articles at a time. That should work well to get good audience, once the blog has constant traffic.
