Topic
Make sure that the topic you choose is something that people will find popular for a while. News pieces are generally not read, as they can already be seen at major news sites, and in greater depth. Also, these pieces will quickly fall out of the spotlight, as they are about current events. Literature and creative writing are good bets, but you must publish a TON of them in order for them to be popular, and they have to be pretty well done. Really good titles include online marketing, recipes, fitness guides and how to articles. These don’t go out of style fast and can get you a hefty chunk of views

Tagging
Tag as much as you can, with anything relevant to your article. If it’s about money, type “income, revenue, finances etc.” instead of just one, it will grant your article with more views.

Promote
The best thing to do is promote. Shamelessly promote every article you’ve written. Email, Facebook, Twitter, whatever works in order for people to hear about your article. The more you do this, the more widespread your article will be. True, it takes a lot of work, but after a while it will pay off. An extra 500 views can really help!
