Four Ways Internet Marketers Trick You Into Buying

Don’t fall for useless products.

The internet was the Information Super Highway. Keyword “was”. Now it’s just a place for cheap internet marketers using cheap methods to generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in pure profit coming straight from our pockets.

But for those of you that are alright with your 9-5 day job, let me just remind you that it is a hard life in this cruel economy. It’s important that you don’t waste money here and there on useless stuff. Especially on the internet. It’s hard enough trying not to waste money in the real world, but it gets even harder in the online world.

Internet marketers are usually very selfish people only wanting money. That’s it. Look up all the famous internet marketing gurus, David Guidon, Jeff Johnson, Michael Rasmussen, Micheal Cheney, etc. Every single one of them is selfish. They might give you an occasional video about how this system works or how that system works, but usually, those free videos are their just another sales pitch. There are many other tricks they use to make you buy their or their affiliate products. Here are some of them.

  1. Making you sign up for getting a “free” report- You will probably see this in every single marketer’s web page. Thus is one of the dirtiest tricks in the book. All this does is flood your inbox with a crap load of emails leading you to a site that wants to sell you more useless stuff using their own affiliate link. Why? Because, by signing up for that one product, you have signed up for their marketing list, the people they send their useless affiliate links to .So they profit more and you lose even more precious money, and inbox space.

I have fell in this trap way too many times. But I have never ever bought a single thing from them. Sometimes this one guy offers me a secret million dollar napkin that is barely legible, and this other guy offers me this package of stuff worth thousands of dollars. What could I do? I was too much in need of money to actually think about what I was thinking about.

The only thing about this trap is that you yourself are the reason that you get a crap load of useless emails. Usually the marketers use a double opt in method in order to make sure you want to be in their list.

  2. Hiding affiliate links in their emails- IMers will almost always do this. They create a list of ten thousand or more people, and send out emails with their affiliate link. But their are some smart people out their that figure out that they used their affiliate link in that email.

So what could they do to trick us into believing that they are only working day and night for us? Disguising their URL. It’s as simple as that. They don’t just say “CLICK HERE!”, they give a completely unexistant URL. Usually, it seems like that product was made only for you.

Let’s say that this one guy goes online and opens the new email from their so-called guru. They open it up and see this link to www.mysite.com/David. They instantly click on it thinking that the link was a page made just for them.

However, that isn’t how it works. The IMers don’t have the time to create a page especially for each and every single on of the people in their list. It would take hours. Who would do that? Not anyone that I know. So all that they do is put their affiliate link in that URL. And most of the time, people will believe that their “guru” is only working for them. It’s just like the political leaders back in India. They wear that white little hat and a vest and formal clothes going around in their horrible english accent saying,” I am for the people”. Yet when they are elected to office, they become so selfish, that people might be dying around them, but they don’t give a crap about it.

  3. Giving you a crappy product for your money- I have encountered some products like this. Though I haven’t seen every single product out there that deals with making money, I know that some products that say it’s the secret to getting free adwords, making thousands of dollars in two hours, and products giving other ridiculous claims. They are just plain ridiculous! All they do is get your money from you faster than usual. The people that promote these products are also jackasses. Don’t ever buy something that gives you ridiculous claims such as a crap load of money in minutes. The affiliates of those products most likely haven’t bought that product and just wanted to make some money. If they bought it, they would have known how awful it was, and would never promote it in the first place.

If you don’t know whether it is a legit product or a work of a donkey, make sure it has a guarantee of a refund. And during the checkout, make sure it’s either from ClickBank, PayPal, or Google Checkout. That way you can check it out first and get a refund if it was a complete waste of your money.

If you still aren’t sure, look for reviews of that product. Look for how good it was to the people that did take the risk and buy it. Don’t just fall for the testimonials on the sales page. Sometimes, they could just be stock photos mixed with their own testimonial.

  4. Giving only the best results of their products- I hate this cheap thing. This is probably the cheapest thing in the book. Instead of providing average examples of people like me, you, Joe, Jane, Gourab, Raj, or Francisco, they only show the people that achieved extraordinary heights.

This is one of the things that really influence whether you, the customer buys or doesn’t buy. By seeing those examples, you think,” I want to be that succesful, so I better buy that product!”

Don’t fall for that. You are usually getting ripped off. Though there are a few things that are actually gems and will really help you, most of the products on ClickBank or any page that looks like the page below is probably a plot to rip you off.

Yeah, I know. That was four things, but hey, I didn’t cheat you. In fact, I gave you more than you expected. And also remember, spread on this free information to all of your friends. Help people save money. And for information about what products are gold and which aren’t, always remember to look up reviews of the product you want to buy.

Hello Gourab your article is not a very balanced review of Internet practices? In fact it is extremely biased and 95% negative. There are some who rip people off but they are few and far between. We must all be vigilant about not getting ripped off.

This is the other side of the story. When you sign up for any \”free report\” you do get a \”free report\” and the information is usually very good in 95% of cases. Also; you are not under any obligation to buy anything and- if you do buy a product off either Michael Rassmussen or Michael Cheney, you will get a full 60 day money back guarantee. You can actually try it out first.

I have got refunded from both Micheal Cheney and Micheal Rassmussen for one product each. No questions asked. The rest of their products I am very happy with.

Also Micheal Rassmussen gave away the highest amount of bonuses ever; for one of his promotions and I received all $900.00 worth of free products- about 15 free products.

This included free landing pages, a full Minisite business, complete with free Websites and a whole heap of free software including a free Autoresponder and many others that are extremely handy marketing tools which I am using to this day.

Lastly, if you buy any product you need to work at them and follow them through step by step and not give up. Do this and it will make you money online. If you are sharp enough; it will make you a very nice income in 1-3 years. Remember these are businesses- not jobs or overnight get rich schemes.

All businesses offline take at least 3 years to make them profit and at least a minimum of $100,000 to set up. Online you can do it anywhere from free – under $1,000.00. All I can say is this is not a perfect world and the real secret to success in life; comes down to this: how much you put into it; is directly related to how much you get out of it.

It takes work, pure and simple. Most everybody today wants it all on a plate and they want it for nothing and- they want it now!

Sorry to put that dirty four letter word – \”work\” into it; but sorry there is no other way its ever gonna happen. Stickability is also a major part of any success, no matter what challenge in life that you choose to accept.

At the end of the day, it is about the choices you make. But at least try to be realistic and fair about your appraisals.
