I have recently been having this problem where my in-box never empties out. So now after a few days I simply was playing around and it emptied out.

Here is what I did:

I click on the bold part of a new message around 20 times (I figure click it at least enough that the clicks is equaled to the amount of messages in your in-box that are supposedly unread.

Once that is done your messages should have all been “read” and you shouldn’t have that annoying red box up in the corner saying you have a new unread message when you have already read everything in you in-box.

Now I think there are some different ways this problem can be solved. This is just the one that worked for me
