Success tips for all Triond writers, new and not so new.
A common question for all beginners and some intermediate writers is how to get exposure. There is an amazing list of great articles covering this section, some of them good, some of them not so good. Here, I will show you about all I have learned from these various articles, as well as some of my own trick and tips.
Most new members have heard this all before, but I will go into a little more detail than most articles.
- Write a few articles to test the waters
- This is an amazingly simple step. These first few articles are not meant to give you thousands of views, but to let you learn what is hot in that time period. Some topics are always hot. For example, an article on how to make money will almost always make you some extra change. Although this works well, don’t just write articles on money. You should alway try and vary the topics until you know the waters.
- Example: You write an article about endangered animals and it earns you 3 cents in the first day. You write another article the next day about using Facebook to earn some extra views on Triond. It makes you 5 cents in the first two hours. Which do you think is more popular?
- Write based on your research
- This one is pretty straight forward.
- Promote on your own!
- Using social networking and bookmarking sites to your advantage can make an amazing difference in views. Use services such as Facebook, Myspace, StumbleUpon, Digg, Reddit, and Multiply. There are a plethora of sites that you can use. You can use your blog, or your own personal e-mail address and contact list. Send out instant messages to anyone who would be interested, and use the forums!

- If you are on a forum community relevant to the information in your article, post a new discussion about it (make sure it’s allowed first). People could view it and discuss it. Put it in your signature as well. Because your signature is at the bottom of every single post you make, it can get huge exposure. Most gaming and internet culture forums (think 4chan) cannot resist clicking one links as long as it isn’t a ‘rick roll.’
- Use Yahoo! Answers or Wiki Answers. If someone asks about some facts of the endangered animals of Canada and you have an article on it, give the link to the asker. If he/she chooses it as the ‘Best Answer,’ it could possibly get more views.
- Use family. Most family members love to see what their relative has done, and there is usually more trust than in an online forum.
- Link to your other Triond articles using another article. Confusing? Just put a link of a relevant article in another one.

There are many more tips that can be added to this list, but I covered a lot of them in this article. Be sure to comment if you have anymore ideas.
