A short guide defining CPM advertising.

First of all, what is CPM advertising? CPM advertising is any ad program that pays you based on how many views that the ads you post get. The M stands for the roman numeral M, which means 1000, so basically you’re getting paid a certain rate for every 1000 views that the ads get.

This program is good for publishers because they can earn a lot faster, since they don’t need to wait for a visitor to click on the ads on their site. Instead, if they have a steady stream of traffic, they can earn money passively, every day. For advertisers, it’s not the best deal, because there is no promise of traffic or purchases to what is being advertised, only the promise that people will see your ads.

If you have a blog with a huge amount of daily traffic, by all means go ahead and use CPM ads. If you want to advertise your business or product, try out CPC advertising, as it will get you better results.
