No one likes banners. But there are so many of them that you just can’t ignore them all the time. There are some banners that are dancing all over web page, some of them are expanding to a half of the page, many are interrupting the content, and millions of banner ads have hidden close buttons.
Money makes the world go round. Online advertisement confirms this statement. It made many people rich, but it also made others nervous, made their surfing much harder than it had to be.
Billboards in the top right corner
Companies like to sell their products and we like to buy them. This is the well known win-win situation. And a lot of people shop online, there’s no doubt about that. But sometimes we ask ourselves, “Is it really necessary for them to place those damn billboards in the top right corner?”
Interstitials
And just think of all the times that you said to yourselves, “I’m never going back to this web page no more!” Interstitials can be top of the iceberg. But the truth is you always come back. There is a force you can’t see, just like gravity, and it’s pulling you right back in.
Ads that look like content
All in all, once you are back, you see those ads that look like content. Once you click on them, you are on a way to unknown. It’s just like walking through the forest, you are very scared and you don’t know were you are going to.
But not all is black and white. There are many creative writers that earn extra few bucks by submitting their content to web sites like Triond. And the thing that makes this possible are those nasty little ads all over the page that are hard to ignore. Well, they are not that nasty. You could even say that some are quite cute.
Give them a chance, will you?
