A First Experience of Ptc

Everyone likes the idea of earning some extra cash especially when you don’t really need to put in too much effort and you can work from the comfort of your home.  I was so attracted to this notion that when I chanced on my first PTC after doing a google search on “online work”, I gamely registered.

The registration was straightforward.  I glanced quickly through the terms and conditions which stated that I could only have one account although I could access the site from different computers (they can read my mind – how did they know I was planning on having multiple accounts to increase my earning capacity?) The salary was pitiful – only $0.01 per click and I could only click once every 24 hours.  I duly clicked on “Yes I accept”.  Registration completed and an email verification was forwarded to my email address.  I clicked on the link which took me into the PTC website to activate my account and I logged in.  It was getting exciting – I clicked on “Browse ads” and was given four ads to click on.  Wow… a chance to earn four cents in just 2 minutes – a chance to convert my idle moments into cash.  I clicked on my first ad – something about increasing male prowess.  What attracted me more was the 30 second countdown timer at the corner of the screen.  I sat there, half-reading the advertisement and half-watching the timer countdown to “0″ and then the word “Done”.  I then had to click on a matching number and the response made my heart flutter with a little joy – “Thank you. Account credited”.  There was a sense of satisfaction – my first cent.   The actual time taken to work on one ad was nearly a minute including waiting for the advertisement to load, leaving it on the screen for 30 seconds, doing the number match and closing off the advertisement screen.

I finished off the other three ads with the same robotic routine.  Two were from some forex companies and one from another PTC site.  My eyes were a little tired – perhaps from too many changing screens and loud colourful advertisements.

Over the next two hours, I persevered and registered myself on four other PTC sites.  The terms and conditions were all quite similar stressing that only one account could be opened.  At the last site that I worked on, I decided to click on “Withdraw Earnings”.  To my horror, I found out that I could only withdraw my earnings upon reaching $50!  At six advertisements a day, that means I would have to work 833 days or over two years before I could collect my $50!

Don’t ask me the name of the website because they are holding on to my precious twelve cents.  Just a word of advice that you should always click first on “Withdraw earnings” to see what the minimum payout is before you start clicking on the advertisements.  Also read the terms and conditions carefully as some sites require you to purchase a membership before you can withdraw your earnings and others allow withdrawals only after 30 clicks or more.  Good luck!
