If you plan to use Google Adsense, then you’d better know that some niches are just not as good for Adsense monetization as others. There are niches where there are almost no advertisers, the click values are low, and the click-through rate is depressing. If you plan to make money from Adsense on your site, choosing such a niche is certainly not the way to achieve your goal.

   Money. As it can be expected, the lion’s share of Adsense revenue goes to money sites. This category includes sites that deal with insurance, debt management, credit cards, personal finance, investment, real estate, etc. The income from a popular site in the money category can be huge.

2. Health. There is a saying that people start worrying about their health after they lose it. Well, maybe this is not exactly so because sites with health advice, especially sites that provide unique tips about a particular condition, are very popular and can make their owner rich.

3. Weight Loss. Formally, weight loss is a health topic but in reality weight loss is a league of its own. Having in mind the percentage of overweight and obese people in the world, it is hardly surprising that weight loss sites are a lucrative niche.

4. Dating. Even if not everybody in the world is desperately trying to find his or her better half, dating sites are among the most popular sites on the net. This group includes dating sites (i.e. sites where you can register and search for a partner), as well as sites with all kinds of relationship advice.

5. Travel. The current economy might not be the best time to travel around the world but generally travel sites attract a lot of people – and a lot of ads from tour agents, which combined makes them a potential top earner.

8. Women’s issues. Half of the world is women but maybe more than half of the active online population are ladies, who are seeking advice and solutions on all women-related topics, starting from fashion, to relationships, to health.

9. Online business. Online business might not be a topic with such a wide appeal (compared to money and health, for example) but the numbers of online businessmen are constantly growing and this is what makes this niche interesting for advertisers and web masters.

10. Shopping. Shopping is another niche where lots of money can be made. Product reviews, product guides, bargains, etc. are among the most sought after information. If you add affiliate programs to your shopping site, then you can really make a lot of money.

The list doesn’t end here but even these niches tell a lot where Adsense money is. If you plan to start a site, make your own research and in addition to the niche, choose other segmentators. For instance, if you want to start a dating advice site, consider targeting it to teens, or ladies, or divorced people only. Additional segmentation further increases your chances for success.
