As a software engineer really I am wondering why people are not interested to have their own website! Having your own website is not a big deal and no more rocket technology is involved on this. For building your own website, all you need are

1. Domain name [Your website name]

2. Host [hosting server]

3. Few HTML pages

1. Domain name:

Domain name is nothing but your website name. Domain name is always unique, so make sure the name you like to have is unique. I can’t suggest any name, it’s up to you.

2. Host:

Host is a server where you keep your website. Technically host server is entirely different from our personal computer and capable to accommodate more than 10k GB data files. I know all leading webhosting service providers will charge you between 2$-6$ per month, however most of the ISP’s [your internet service provider] offers small free space to their customers [just check with your ISP about their free hosting service]. Do some online research to find free webhosting providers. In case you’re ready to go with paid web hosting services, I will suggest you to host from India or Brazil base servers [Because they are cheap and reliable]

3. HTML Pages:

These HTML pages are your contents. HTML is not a complex programming language. You can use MS-Office to edit HTML files. If you have any problem with HTML then check with following online resources

3. www.echoecho.com/html.htm

I hope this article is pretty straight forward. Here I almost tried to avoid technical terms and explanations. If you are really interested to build your own website, do some online research and try to educate yourself.
