When email is not enough for you, there is another option. Keep reading to learn what option that is.

In one of my last articles I explained to you in detail how you could send all your computer data to your email and still maintain almost the same features with unlimited space and security.

Now this article explain how you can manage all your computer data with your web hosting account.

The email has lots of advantages but it’s not perfect and will never be. Web hosting on the other hand looks more computer like and with some software inside it you can make it even better than email, however it’s a little harder to work than with email.

First you need to create a protected folder. This folder will contain all the files inside it. Then you need to upload all your hard disk to your server. This might take a few hours, maybe a few days depending on your INTERNET speed and on the amount of data you need to send. Most ISPs limit the amount of data you can upload.

Now you can see your files in the File Manager and i the FTP, still you cannot manage them easily as you would with the computer not to mention the delay between each action.

With Wordpress you can have all your music protected and available to you on every computer. You just need to type the URL of it and then enter your hosting password. You can do the same for images, documents, protected documents, any file you want.

Wordpress make it so easy because it’s open source and you can install even more features with the extensions.

A very good is the MP3 flash player that plays all the files you have uploaded there.

You can also use Wordpress to protect documents with passwords.

The amount of software for servers you can have is almost unlimited.

Because dealing with servers is a little more complicated, I would advise you to continue with email. Email services are getting many new features these days, not to mention it’s 100% for for most people.
