Still Using Frostwire? Welcome to The Future

After LimeWire went down in 2010, much of the internet went into chaos.

What will I do? How will I get my free stuff now?!

Many people suggested FrostWire, an alternative P2P style network, similar to LimeWire. But before you even think about touching that software, let me tell you what I think about it:

Because to be honest, it will probably have the same effect. So what do you use instead?

Let me introduce you to torrents. Torrenting is very similar to the LimeWire and FrostWire systems, but there are a few major advantages, including:

• Faster download speeds!
• More downloadable content!
• Safer downloading!

So why don’t people use torrents? Because it looks difficult. But looks can be deceiving! I’m going to walk you through the steps required to set up your system to torrent to your heart’s content, and I promise you it will be so easy a child could do it!
You’ll be downloading free copies of Terraria* sweet free-release movies and music in no time!
*Whilst it IS possible to do this, I cannot promote stealing. There is plenty of free, legal content to download too!

First of all, you just need a torrent client. Much like FrostWire or LimeWire, this is the software which will actually do the download for you. I would recommend uTorrent.
Download and install uTorrent here: http://www.utorrent.com/
Secondly, after you have installed your torrent client (uTorrent) then you need an idea of what you want to download! Once you know what you want like a copy of the latest Pirates of the Carribean movie*, you can go to one of the many trusted torrent sites, which are listed below and use the search feature to look for whatever you like!
*Again, it is possible to do this, but I do not condone piracy.

These two sites are two of the most trusted and easy to use torrent sites on the web.
Thirdly, just browse through the results of your search, much like a Google search and pick the one you think matches what you need. Read the description and scroll through the comments to make sure it looks like it is of good quality, and then click on either GET THIS TORRENT (The Pirate Bay) or Download the Torrent (Demonoid). This will then open up uTorrent and you will be prompted to make sure you’re downloading the correct files. Just hit okay and your file will download!
Finally, sit back and watch your files download faster than ever before and safer than FrostWire will ever be. Once it is done, just right click on your download and click Open Containing Folder. There it is! Like magic!
This process may seem daunting at first, and it takes a bit of setting up, but that is the hardest part! The only hard part! Once you’ve started, you’ll find that the process becomes so much easier with every download, and eventually you’ll be left thinking “FrostWire? What’s that again?“
