How to create a custom filter in hotmail to stop unwanted emails clogging your inbox.
Tired of getting junk email from a company, there is a way in hotmail to set up a filter that will stop email getting through that you do not want.
First let’s sign in to hotmail and get ready to set up the filter, now the hotmail screen should look like the one below.

I have put an arrow on where we need to click to begin the next section, so let’s click the option tool.

Now make sure you are on mail setting and that you can see the option called custom filter, click the custom filter to move on to the next settings.

Next click the new filter button, the one like the image above, this will take us to the next step we need.

Now we can begin setting up the filter we want, now if you want to block an email address type it on the email address section, and then choose where you want the emails to go, if you want them in your junk mail select that option or if you want them deleted select that option.
You can do this too for emails that have certain subjects like your new account or register now, and then select where you want them to go to, I have also used this feature to make sure I receive certain emails that hotmail delete or send to my junk mail.
Once you have sorted all the sections out click ok and then your done you have a custom filter set up.
