How to Get RSS News by Email

I know Google Reader is very cool but sometimes you need something more convenient you can search later with your indexing tools.

Google Desktop just so happens to be the most complex indexing tool in the world. It indexes everything you do even all your computer movement in something called browse timeline. It looks like the CIA: You cannot do anything Google Desktop desn’t know if it wants. To sum up you can see your entire digital life with just some key strokes.

What has Google Reader and RSS to do with Google Desktop?

You can’t index your your Google Reader items to search them instantly after, you can only use a tool like you have in Gmail but that tool it slow despite of being very accurate. Google Desktop could make all your past news, favourite websites and blogs searchable instantly. Too bad Google haven’t yet released that integration feature.

The solution is using RSS to Email sites that can forward for free any website you want to subcribe directly to your Inbox. If you use Gmail you can even read all your news in your Google Desktop Gadget.

The best service is feedmailer.net, here you can even browse well know sites and blogs and subscribe them directly here. Personally I like most of the sites they present here and reading them in the comfort of Gmail or IGoogle is much better and wider than Google Reader. I hope you feel the same too.

To subscribe to new feeds you only need to place a button in your Firefox bookmarks toolbar and then press the button when you see a website your eyes like.

Feed My Inbox is anoter system you can use to subscribe even easier without having to register! You just need to to add the URL you like and then the email, you don’t even have to add the same email all the time. Consider even creating a new email just for feeds.
