E-mail

Where do you think the best place to save your precious information is? You guessed it. Email is just the best tool in the world to save and share and manage information. Read my article to see why.

Like I said in previous articles, email is probably the most important tool of the entire internet and mastering it’s usage is crucial for any successful business or person.

With information everywhere it’s becoming harder and harder to keep all the information under your control and supervision. You have your emails, your files, your bookmarks, your links… just to name a few. You need some place to keep it all together, flexible and easy to index.

My opinion is that email is the best place to save any information you ever want to carefully save. The reasons are many: You never delete emails today because the space is unlimited (Yahoo, AOL, AIM) and other providers offer you almost unlimited space. Email is also easily sent to your computer if you want to and you can index it with any tool you want.

With all these features, if you want to find a document, it’s faster to find it on email, than to search for it on the hard disk.

Email is also always protected against anything, you have always a copy online and that copy is free and most email companies will never close so your email is always 100% secure.

With all your documents online it’s easy to send them everywhere, this is what you do with offline documents. You want to find them because you want to send them by email.

And finally email is the most flexible tool. If you have a file you want on your hard disk you will have to be on your computer to see it. If you put the file online on Mozy for example you still need the laptop.

With email all you need is any device with internet access.

Even a mobile phone is able to access it.
