Hi Marina,

Having targeted advertisement on a website isn't Spam. Although, receiving targeted ads through your email is considered spam, especially if you did not ask for it.

It cost money to operate a website and pay bills, so there are two ways to pay the bills and one of them is through advertisers and the other way would be to charge visitors to use the website. It is better to allow advertising rather than charging folks to use a website.

I am only glad that there is ways to fight spammers with some of their own medicine. If every person on the Internet would start using some of these techniques, then maybe we can reclaim the Internet spam-free.
