You can easily add a frame to your photo using Picnik’s free frames.  Log on into picnik.com and you’re on your way to editing joyland =)

Picnik can do a lot for your photos!  It is a wonderful photo-editing software, and best of all it’s free!  There is no need to download any software into your computer.  All you need is an internet connection.

One of the all-time favorites is the polaroid-like frame. It is very easy to do.  Here are 4 easy steps on how to make your photo look like polaroid!  Enjoy!

Step # 1

Click “upload photo” and locate the image from your computer.  Picnik also allows you to upload your images from Flickr,  MySpace,  Picasa Web Album,  Facebook,  Webshots or Photobucket.

Step # 2

Click on the “create button”. 

Step # 3

On the left hand side, you will see Picnik gives you frame options.  In this example we will pick the Polaroid frame. 

Notice that right underneath the Polaroid frame there is a an option to change the background color.  By default it is gray.  Feel free to play with it to get the background shade you like.  And underneath where you see “Rotate”, you can rotate the frame by sliding the button left or right. 

When you are satisfied with your Polaroid results, click on “apply”.

Step # 4

Lastly, click on the save button.

Be careful when naming your photos so you do not accidentally over-ride your original photo.  In the case, I named the photo “sunflower – polaroid frame”.  This is to let me know that this is the edited photo with frame, and the original “sunflower” photo is left untouched.

Always name your photos as clear as possible so you can locate it easily.

If you are planning to print your photo,  leave it at the high resolution.  In this example since I’m placing it on the web, I reduced the dimensions.

This is a pleasing site which contains a vast amount of useful and, in some cases, vital information.  It looks good and seems to work quickly and efficiently and, if you work in any form of office, we think it is well worth a visit and a big bookmark.  We noted, too, that the website is also made available on the intranets of some large companies.
