Can’t watch movies on Netflix in Opera 11? There’s no need to panic or even change browsers as I will demonstrate how to fix this small issue.

Viewing Netflix movies on Opera 11

  1. First, you’ll need to navigate to opera:config. You’ll need to type this in your address bar.
  2. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and look for the option called User Agent:
  3. Click on User Agent
  4. If Allow Components In UA String Comment is unticked, tick it. Also, Spoof UserAgent ID should be set to 2.

Alternate

  1. Navigate to http://movies.netflix.com/WiHome?lnkctr=mhWN.
  2. Right click on any white space on the page.
  3. Select Edit site preferences.
  4. When in this menu, click the Network tab.
  5. In this tab, you want to change your browser identification from Identify as Opera to Mask as Firefox.
  6. Click ok and restart Opera.

    Which version of Opera are you using? And which method are you using? Also, I’ve found that Opera can be stubborn when using any of these methods, so clearing your cache and restarting may be required.
