Information is everywhere. In my last article I forgot to mention you still have your Firefox bookmarks to search which might be independent of any Google crawling.

Today I want to introduce you to a very fast and simple way to catalog your online information. It’s a combination of services + lots of fun. It’s called Stumble Upon and Firefox. Basically Stumble Upon is a service that allows you to see websites and show you sites like the ones you Liked in the past. This service comes with a very handy toolbar and that toolbar can export the favorites to the Firefox and make them searchable. Now have you ever wondered how to get sites that search engines will never give you because of their business needs such as killing a good site or two just to please the biggest number of people possible. Now with Stumble Upon you can get almost a site for every thing you can imagine. Most of my best things came from Stumble Upon.

Just in case you haven’t me there yet, check my Triond profile and then you do add me so we can share more of everything.

The thing here is this, if you find a site you like, you want to be able to save it for later and be able to access it very quickly from a place you use daily such as the browser and even do some good for the world and the site itself. Stumble Upon does it all. When you press the magic button, you will get:

More sites like it;
That site saved on your profile for you;
The ability to export that site to your Firefox bookmarks
Loads of traffic to that site;
Better rank in the SU Community.

Stumble upon does a lot for you and for the web and the world itself. It makes communication faster, and sharing easier and so far no other site matches Stumble upon. Read another authority in this field, read Darren Rowse blog Problogger.net for the article SU vs Digg. He picks SU as the winner based on his Analytics stats.

My goal and it’s serious for Stumble upon is to Stumble one million pages. So far I’ve hit 14,002 Stumbles.

I have seen people with several K’s of stumble sites. I wonder how many hours a day they spend doing it!

    Great piece, question…does the amount of times you stumble increase the amount of times you get stumbled?
