Still in BETA and only for some users. I must thank Microsoft for being one of the few users allowed to use this Beta engine. Read my review inside. One sniff: It’s much better than Google!
I read that the man behind the new search engine works 19 hours for Microsoft every day. The man wakes at 3. AM and then works until 10 pm. I believe if he had more hours in the day he would work more. The article said that he likes to work so tie flies for him and that’s fun too, he feels like his job is more than a job, its a duty!
The man is already 47 years old but still energetic enough to shake the world.
I just tried the new search engine. At first was impressed with the new page. It has a beautiful image of houses in an Arabian country, something that most people never saw before. Unlike Yahoo, the page is very clean and neat. This is not like Google which is just one simple search box, too simple in my opinion. Bing has a nice background that makes you want to come back for more.
This was just the graphical view of the engine.
The only important thing however is how good are searches.
I tried some queries and used to search a lot like SEO, Wordpress, Hosting, Facebook tricks, online games and so forth and Bing gives me results that Google cannot give. On the top results you will see some very bad pages. It seems that Google is almost reaching its limit for relevance. Bing on the other hand might not have as many results as Google, but that is not very important. You will never be able to browse billions of results will you?’
I also tried some adult related searches and the thing that impressed me the most was that in 10 results I only got one link farm, all the other sites have real content that matches the keyword I inserted. Google on the other hand will show you 10 link farms, specially if you insert words like porn and so forth.
For computer game searches I get cheats I never had before. I even accessed websites I haven’t seen since 2001! Google gives too much importance to the new pages and forgets that the old ones might still be the best ones, specially about computer games. The game I searched was Final Fantasy 7.
Finally I tried some image search. You see, here you can browse the entire index in just one page. So much more convenient than having to click NEXT all the time.
My final decision: Bing is already my browser Default Engine.

Can’t wait until this is up and running! I spend hours trawling rhrough ‘irrelevants’ on Google, Ask, etc when I’m researching. My particular niggle at the moment is Ebay – they seem to be linked to just about every word in the English language. Even if I’m looking for info on a place name, somehow Ebay seem to be selling it!!!!

While Google has been great, it is time for some competition!
Thanks,

I recently saw Bing start showing up in my Dashboard as one of the areas people are accessing my material. It is very interesting and will give google a good run. Great article!
