Browsers

This is a guide to tweaking firefox to make it load pages faster…

  • Type in the address bar “about:config” (without quotes) and press enter.
  • In the filter bar, type “network.http.pipelining(without quotes).” Double click on  that entry to set it to “true.”
  • In the filter bar again, type “network.http.proxy.pipelining”(without quotes) and double click to set it to “true.”
  • Type “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” and modify its value to 10. This will make 10 requests at once.Or, you can modify it to 30 to make 30 requests at once.
  • Right click anywhere and select new>integer, and type “nglayout.initialpaint.delay”(without quotes) and set it to value “0.” This value “0” is the amount of time the browser acts on information it receives.

If you are using broadband, these tweaks will load pages much more faster.
