Adblock plus is a really helpful extension for Firefox, but sometimes it block ads or other content you do not want to be blocked.

After installing Adblock plus (ABP) you should have a status bar on the bottom part of your screen or optionally an ABP icon in your toolbar, top of the browser.

Status bar

If you have closed it you can open it again by right-clicking somewhere in the top of the browser, e.g. next to the title bar, and choose status bar.

If you still do not have a little Adblock Plus logo appearing in the bottom left corner then go to Firefox Add-ons/Extensions, find Adblock Plus and click options. There should be some tick boxes here with the bottommost saying something like “Show Adblock Plus on status bar”, tick this one and close Add-ons.

You will see the following on the bottom part of your browser:

Now go to the website you want to allow ads from and click the little Adblock Plus logo in the status bar and choose “Disable on

Toolbar

If you do not have an extension bar or ABP is not appearing here but in your Toolbar, you can allow a website from here as well. Click the ABP logo in the toolbar while on the website you want to allow and choose the same “Disable on ” to allow ads on the website.
