Browsers

…if you’re still using Internet Explorer, you need to read this article.

Firefox, I love you!

Yesterday, I was reading an article about which internet browser was the best to use. I remember someone mentioning a few times in the past that Internet Explorer was just about the slowest one to choose, however, when I tried to download Firefox at that time, for some reason it didn’t work. So up until yesterday I was dealing with a slow internet connection that was often very frustrating and tested my patience, big time.

Well, after reading that article, I thought, you know I’ll try it again, maybe things have changed technology-wise; maybe something’s more compatible with my computer now. And, I could not be happier that I decided to do this! It took only about 5 minutes to download and suddenly I felt like I had a brand new computer! Opening internet windows has become a light-speed-functionality. I even stumbled the article that I read so that I could thank the author for writing such a highly valuable piece.  Furthermore, the article mentioned that Firefox is much more secure than Internet Explorer protecting your computer from viruses that can slow it’s connection down.

So, if you’re currently experiencing overly slow internet connection, check to see if you’re using Internet Explorer, if you are trust me, you need to change to Firefox right now!! You’ll be beyond happy you did!

now just get adblock plus addon and you’ll see why all the speed in the world cant make chrome any better than firefox… know all those ad infested youtube pages? completely blank for me… even the in video overlay ads are gone… google will never let an addon like this work like it does for their browser cuz their greedy fucks… they help provide the ads so theres no incentive for them… also if you ever go to those full episode sites, usually just gotta turn it off right from the icon (effect is instant, no refreshing) and let it play the first ad then you can just turn it on again and it’ll skip every ad after that in the video… feels so wrong, but so right :)

also noscript addon is a huge security boost, but can be rather annoying on some sites (practically every digg article has a site that gets screwed over by this and generally any website that uses hoards of javascript)… so for noobs who dont wanna allow sites thru the icon then you dont have to use it… simple solution would be to get the sandboxie program (worked best on 32bit OS I recall but they released a 64bit one that works well) and run the browser thru it and every will be contained in a sandbox not effecting the real system and cant get out unless specified, and downloads will be detected and can be extracted from the sandbox easily, making you completely safe from viruses or anything that can be gotten through a browser (which is usually only thru javascript, which is why I mentioned noscript)… only downside is when its used in a sandbox any new favorites or cookies (anything really) wont be saved and be wiped since its part of real data on drive

but if you honestly can spare some gigs of ram which cost like 20 bucks a pair, and only care about speed (albeit mere seconds of about .2/.4 only for loading pages), then yea.. use chrome :P
