Why You Shouldn’t Use Feedcat.net on Your Site?

Using FeedCat.net may mean less money going into your bank account and here is why:

What is FeedCat.net?

FeedCat.net is an RSS feed booster which allows bloggers to receive more exposure and traffic for their sites. The feeds are easier to read and user friendly for visitors. I’ve used it on various blogs and it worked surprisingly well. However, FeedCat.net was sold to what seem to be scammers.

What’s happened to FeedCat.net?

I have noticed that my ad-sense earnings were going down and that my site was issuing ads from Clicksor. I never applied to Clicksor so I knew right away something was wrong. At first I assumed it was a recent plug-in that I had uploaded to my wordpress blog. I couldn’t find any hidden codes after checking through all of the wordpress plug-ins on my blog. Next, I went through my widgets. At first I didn’t noticed any changes to my site so I decided to do a search on the Internet and came across two blog posts suggesting it might be the FeedCat.net button.

After removing the FeedCat.net button from my site, my earnings went up.

Why shouldn’t you use FeedCat.net button on your blog?

It seems that FeedCat was sold on Flippa to scammers. On FeedCat.net Terms of Service it states the following:

8. Ad Sponsored

By using Feedcat.net and placing the button code on your website, you grant Feedcat.net the right to serve ads on your website.

If you are trying to earn money online by writing and using Ad-sense or other ads, you shouldn’t place FeedCat.net button on your site. Their ads will compete with yours and it seems like FeedCat.net admins are winning that competition because the ads they chose to put on your site pops up first before the reader even reaches your content.
