Blogging

First of all, you might write your blog just for yourself and in that case you don’t need this article. If you do care, here are the possible reasons why nobody likes you blog.

You will know for sure that nobody likes your blog if you properly read the signs. If you ever wondered why nobody comments on your blog, simple explanation can be because nobody reads your blog. In order to establish yourself as professional blogger you will have to find some way to get more traffic. Low number of returned visitors is good sign that few people likes your blog and here are main reasons for this.

Grandma’s favorite content

Work on your skills. This is the best advice you can find. Writing quality content is just a skill, nothing else. You can improve your language, you can improve your style and you can improve your understanding of what subjects are most interesting for wider audience. Everything is in practice and learning from mistakes. Don’t write about something only your grandma will be thrilled about, she is already happy about everything you do.

Lies can’t set you free

Be aware of promises you make in your posts. Don’t promise to your readers something you can’t do. You will have to work hard on your authority, but that’s highest value of a blogger. Nobody wants your personal details that much, but your opinion on subject or product or whatever have to be honest. If you don’t respect your integrity, nobody will.

Crappy template design

Default templates on Blogger and Wordpress are bad. You can easily find great free templates all around the web. Don’t stop there. Think about how to make your template better every day. Use search engines to find template tweaks and templates hacks. You may consider paying someone for unique blog header. Crappy template design will scare away your visitors. Good template design can even compensate blog content quality to some extent.

Too many ads

It’s OK if you want to become rich and famous blogger, but you will not get far if you have to many ads on your blog, specially if you haven’t established yourself as good content writer. You can thing about making money online after you reach some point where both search engines and other bloggers are aware of your blog and your quality. You can start with ads right away, but you will be blogging for cents.

    Interesting.

Although I must say – and this will sound strange (or worse) – you CAN have a blog that is simply (here comes the bomb)… TOO good. I have seen blogs that were SUPERB in contents, very attractively designed, an the writer(s) clearly had BRILLIANT writing skills.

It turns out that there is an increasing number of readers who simply cannot be bothered with READING.

Functional illiteracy is on a rampage, it’s an epidemic.

    Sad but true.
