Do we just want to share and let others know how we feel? Do we really feel the need, like some one addicted to drugs or alcohol? Do we want to make a point, make a suggestion, make a difference?
We have come to know ourselves as beings who think at the speed of light, or may be close, react at the speed of sound or may be close, but share; hmmn now that’s another story. I guess there’s speed limits. The hardest thing to do sometimes is to share. Your life, your space, your money, your car, your, your, your, even your thoughts. So then why do we share. Totally aware that the whole world is reading, talking, pondering, wondering, copying and some times even judgemental about it. How do we suddenly find this ability that was long forgotten but seems to come alive as we read about others, hear their stories, feel their loss, share their joy and find our voice. We might come from mighty nations and be citizens of powerful countries, we might be residents of never-heard-of-states or inhabitants of remote islands, we may be white, tan, black or yellow, still we breath the same air, drink the same water and hope the same dreams. We are a force when united, that has written chronicles in sands of time, an idea when realized, that has performed miracles, a strength that we never knew was in us, only waiting to be discovered. We write our own blogs, fight our own battles and strive our own struggles. Yet we share because it inspires us, let others know because it encourages us, hold a hand because it saves someone from falling. We blog, because we want to. We want the world to know that we exist. We want others to know that we have what it takes and we are what we ought to be. We are not a just, mere beings, fellow beings or living beings. We are not social animals, addicted maniacs or political junkies. We are human beings and our existence is the very proof of it.

Blogging has spread over the world. Why do we blog? I agreed with everthing you say. There is no need to repeat what you have pointed out. If I may add one word, which is implied throughout your fine article: communication.
We, human beings, want to reach out. We want to communicate. We need to communicate. One of the worst punishments must be solitary confinement. I go crazy just sitting around alone in my apartment.
But you say all of this in your article.
