Believe it or not, my goal is to turn the Revolution into a magazine with field writers and researchers. I want to include all points of interest like Travel, Science, Music, Cultures, History, Archeology, ans so much more.
When I initially started my blog Friends Revolution, I was there primarily to promote my own articles since I wasn’t receiving as much exposure to certain communities as much as I would have liked.
I tweaked the platform a bit and I now have a site that is so far from a niche site that it makes the Google Spiders crazy.
It was my hope to gain more views but, during my bumpy travels I started taking submissions for articles from Triond writers and displaying their byline and a link to their complete article. Now, that’s really the basis of Friends Revolution is to push people to be great and to share a slew of articles that focus on all topics from cerebral to satire.
I have been getting some really great feedback from the writers I have mentioned or featured. I hope that their experience was a fulfilling one as well.
My point, and no it is not a rant, is that there are those that are present on Triond to push people to be greater, to write with a passion of the pen, and to leave a mark on someone’ soul that represents a person that has the truest of hearts.
I have made a personal list on my blog of writers that have been featured on Friends Revolution. I hope all of you make it a part of your daily lives as well.
Standing Out Amongst the Crowd
Words that set yourself on paper
Through scribbles and constant
coffee breaks leave the mind
perplexed to wonder what will they
read?
Hours spent on content that leaps
off the page yet, lacking of outward
folly presented for those that seek knowledge
not for the dense minds of younger days.
What’s in store for Friends Revolution
Believe it or not, my goal is to turn the Revolution into a magazine with field writers and researchers. I want to include all points of interest like Travel, Science, Music, Cultures, History, Archeology, etc.

Btw–since I modified my pen name, the ‘S Mercedes’ link does not work. Just thought I’d let you know. I’m still psyched to see my name on the list, though

I must admit, that because of many of you wonderful people out there presenting me on your blogs, I wouldn’t have gotten as much viewing, and for that I am forever in your debt Lauren. I’m humbled and appreciative. Other than having my beautiful girls, it makes me thankful to know that I will be remembered for something else, such as my writing. And I’m glad that I have you in my circle. It makes me thankful that I have friends like you who work in an effort to get other’s writing out there. Thank you.
January 7th, 2009 at 8:08 pm

January 7th, 2009 at 9:35 pm

January 7th, 2009 at 11:20 pm
Great write, Lauren and thanks again for the mention.
We seem to be on the same path with our blogs as of late, but I am loving the fact that there is so much talent to go around here that there’s no need for us to compete. Although it is a bit overwhelming, I’m really enjoying it! I really do need to balance my writing back in though, which you seem to be handling much better than I. I’m also loving your unorthodoxchef.today.com. That site is coming along beautifully!
It’s wonderful to have found you here on triond and to have you as a friend. You are a great lady.

Thanks so much for the lovely comments everyone. I do so much appreciate all the love support at this site.
By the way, I am fixing those links. Some don’t seem to be working on the writers links.

Lauren,
I get so little time to read at Triond these days. Glad to see you still are breaking into new things. You are such a talent and rare voice. I wish you luck with all you set out to do, and know that if anyone can do it… you can! Let me know if you need me to do anything to help with the mag.

Me too, I’ve very little time to read most articles at Triond. If I miss the article, I’ll make sure that I’ll catch up all the reads I’ve missed in some other days. You always come up with an evolution article, good job! I appreciate your valuable support, advice and guidance.
January 8th, 2009 at 3:37 pm
Thank you so much Lauren.
January 10th, 2009 at 9:31 pm
I found this a little late but thank you so much for adding my name to your list and sharing my writings on your blog. I too have a writing blog that showcases the writings of my fellow Trionders. I hope you have time to check it out! You can find the link on my profile page if you are interested. The best of luck to you with your magazine and blog!

Hey Lauren I’ve only just spotted this piece. Your idea of taking your blog to the next level and making it a magazine is great. Good luck with it.
