Starting a Home Business (Blogging)

                Today I wanted to share with everyone how to start a business and the correct way to go about doing it. I do not mean a ‘huge’ business but, any business with the right commitment and experience can become one’s own enterprise. Sky’s the limit!

Finding your Niche:

What interest you? What is it that you like to do more than anything in the world? Do you find yourself reading mainly gossip and drama? What is it that you like to do on your off time?

However you answer the questions above this would result in YOU discovering your “Niche”. If you love to talk about cats and dogs, then animals would be your Niche. You must find out what it is that you like to do and what it is that you have to offer. I would like to give advice about work at home careers and little money-making opportunities from home; “advice for work at home” would be my Niche.

Research and Development:

If you are trying to start a home business but you are not too sure on exactly how to start one, you have come to the right place. The first thing that you need to ask yourself is “What do I have to offer?” If you feel like you have something to offer the world that you have not seen, start doing research on whatever it is that you feel you have to offer. Take me as an example, I really want to start up my own website where people can come and find legit work at home jobs, so my first steps to getting started would be to go to the major search engines and type in the following..

1)      Work at home

2)      Telecommute

3)      Virtual Work

4)      Telework

5)      Remote Work

6)      Flexible Work

7)      Home Office

I must thoroughly check the 7 topics above to see what websites come in first, second, and third on the major search engines. Being that I have done that already, I must read ALL of the work provided by the websites to see whether I have what it takes to compete and take the top spot in major search engines. You must read all of your competitors work and find out how you can make your site 10 times better. Keep up with the postings from the other websites and once you have done that, find out what is making them number 1 on the internet, what is keeping the customers loyal and what makes you more unique than the rest.

Being Creative:

You must always be creative when you are blogging. If you blend in, you really will not have a chance at becoming successful with your blog. You must be able to bring in 10,000 people a month in order to really become a SEO at what you do. That is why I say “You must have something to offer”.  If you are not willing to lose sleep, stay dedicated, stay positive then I do not recommend that you try to start a home business from blogging.

Promoting:

Promoting is what will make or break your business. If you are not consistent, Interesting, and Hard working, you will not succeed. You need to be able to bring in at least 10,000 people to your blog a month and that is why promoting will either make or break  your career. I know you are probably wondering how you would make money through writing and what not. Well read below for further information.

Advertisers:

Advertisers are the main source of income when running a home business blog. If you have enough advertisers and people, you should be able to make at least 14,000 dollars a month.

How it Works:

If you are number 1 on the internet, you are obviously bringing in more viewers than other websites. Marketers will start to pay you to promote their products and such. Google and AOL will want to place some advertisement on your website and once you have all of the marketers emailing you and what not, you will make money from all of them. Also if people click the ads on your website, you will get a commission off of the click and if visitors happen to purchase a item that you are promoting, you receive a commission off of the item purchased. That is why you need at least 10,000 visitors to make some decent money. All you have to do is keep writing and let the marketers do the money making part. Also you want to make a website where you have a separate page for advertisers. You do not want advertisements all over the front of your page because they will become unorganized and it will make your website look amateurish. Make a separate page and charge renting space on the ad, which is another way to make some extra money.

Maintenance:

Maintenance is also a big part in keeping a traffic targeted site. You want your website to look appealing, fun and easy to use. If you have an unappealing website, you will not bring in as many people as planned. Just keep it simple.

How to Make a Website:

If you are a computer whizz then you already know how to make a website, but if you are not, you are going to have to

1)      Find a legit web hosting

2)      Buy the right software to maintain your website

3)      Buy your domain name

There is some money that will have to be spent because you do not want a (yourdomain.wordpress.com) or anything like that because

1)      It is too long

2)      Amateurish

3)      Not professional

                          So you are going to have to spend a little bit of money to make more in return.

These are the steps that you will need to follow in order to become a successful blogger. Instead of buying the book online, I just wrote an article (For free) about what marketers will pretty much be telling you for 50 dollars so I hope you find this useful and thank you for reading.
