When you start to write a blog, the first thing you need to do is choosing a blog name. There are a lot of rules about choosing a blog name and below are three simple ones for the baby bloggers to follow:

1. Descriptive to your blog. People always see the name of your blog first on the search engines or in the links of other blogs before accessing your blog and read your posts. If they can think out what your blog is about just by seeing the name of your blog, it is more likely that they will visit your blog.

2. Easy to remember. Suppose that your blog is focus on paid to write and include the contents about writing tips, writing tools and writing resources. Naming it ‘Writing tips, tools and resources blog’ is an exhaustive description to your blog, but it could be also easier to remember to use ‘Paid to write blog’. Use simple names to make people remember it and easy to find it with search engines.

3. Equal to the domain name. Because it is not easy to find an appropriate domain which has not been used, this rule is always hard to achieve and ignored by bloggers. But your must know if your domain name and your blog name does not match well, some of the readers may be lost. When these readers and nearly most of the readers visit your blog from the search engines or through a link, they will only remember the name of your blog if it is easy to remember. If they want to visit your blog again several days later, but they didn’t bookmark your blog and forgot the domain name, they will try to type the blog name they remember followed by a dot com. If they do not see your blog through this way, they may forget your blog and go somewhere else. This rule is not as important as the first two, but it is better to find a suitable domain name matching your blog name.
