There are many ways to generate an income online, some are more successful than others. Blogging is certainly one way in which people can make a sunstantial income online. But is blogging the best way to make money online?
Blogging has come along way over the last few years. Initially blogs were personal journals that were little more than diaries open to public reading. Over the years however, blogs have adapted into one man websites in which people write about what they are passionate about. Blogs now have developed a reputation for being sources of excellence. Places where people unaffiliated with big companies voice the truth even if it goes against what the corporate giants may want you to say.
Blogging has exploded as their frequently updated nature has caused them to be a massive hit with search engines. This means that Blogs tend to surface at the top of any search engine search. This means that blogs naturally have the ability to generate massive traffic, if built correctly. As any successful blogger will tell you, traffic means earning potential.
So it is clear that blogging has the potential to make a massive income based on its traffic potential. The question is therefore, is blogging the best way to make money online?
The best thing about blogging as a way to make money online is that there is no need for any specific technical knowledge. Blogging has been made so user friendly that anyone can build a blog site. The only thing that you need to know about is your chosen subject matter.
But a blog is not, in and of itself, a money making machine. A blog requires a substantial effort. This effort of course is made much easier if you enjoy writing and are passionate about your subject. But do not underestimate the work load. A blog will need to be updated daily if it is genuinely going to make a serious income.
Assuming that the blog is written correctly, that it is updated regularly, and the monetization of the site is done correctly then a blog can make a substantial income. But is a blog the best way to make money online? That entirely depends on how keen you are to work hard.
A blog is certainly not any way to try and create a passive income. Passive incomes are possible online, but a blog is not one of them.
A blog is a great way to make money, and it is possibly the best way to make money online, if for no other reason than you do not need the technical knowledge that is required in web design etc. But it is not easy. The work load is as massive as the potential returns. But the work is so hard that most bloggers do not make a single penny. If you are up for it, however, there is money to be made.

Great post fella, as you hit the point very nicely, and thanks for the information, I am sort of a nubee myself as I write Ebooks and how too’s, and blogging and articles are looking pretty good for my main line.
