One man’s realization that you can’t support a family by only writing blogs.
I was hanging out with my friends on Facebook one afternoon when a somewhat annoying ad popped up on my screen. In a normal instance I would have closed the ad and disregarded it entirely, but this ad was different. Something about it caught my attention. I think it was probably part that said “make money just by writing blogs you honkey!” The fact that I was a honkey that could make money caught my attention quickly. I clicked on the link and it brought me to Triond, an online advertising company that makes money through people like me. Naturally I signed up for the whole deal. I quit my regular job as a customer service representative for a trucking company because I figured it would be much more difficult than writing a few blogs every day.
I was right.
Soon after I joined Triond I wrote my first masterpiece entitled “Treatise on Love.” I figured it would be an instant hit. Unfortunately it didn’t catch on right away, but I wasn’t worried. I just figured I would write something equally fascinating to get my career started. A few days later I wrote an essay concerning the futures of single parents. It received 4 views in the first day.
THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED!
I’m about a week in to my new career and I have made about two cents, American. At my old job I earned about 350 dollars weekly. As you might guess this is putting considerable economic stress on my family, which consists of me, my dog Shasta, and my three goldfish, who are particularly disappointed at my recent failures.
Though I intend to continue my work on Triond I now know that I must find an alternate means to keep my family afloat. I figure I should be a pretty high-profile find for any employer; I graduated Cum Laude from my high school and was a member of our FBLA for the last three months of my senior year.

I think that this is interesting. The fact that you quit your job as a trucker to become a blogger is very extraordinary. I hope your blogging career works for you! Peace and love,

Maybe you should write for Associated Content and Helium as well. I made some money at both sites. At Triond, it seems you’ve got to do a lot of networking to get your stuff read in order to earn.
