If you have a blog or a website that is new and you desperately need some traffic to get started, this article is for you.
Just started a blog about your precious girlfriend or your dog, but you really need some traffic for things to get going? There are some tricks you can use to achieve this.
Common stuff is that you add your blog to the search engines and the blog directories. You should do that anyway, but that won’t guarantee you’ll have traffic. What’s the reason? You have only few posts, and you have to wait a few months constantly typing.
One trick I have learned is not so common. This is not something bad, don’t get me wrong. You should get some help as a beginner.
The trick is to go
Technorati
directory and browse to popular category. There, you will see what are the most searched terms or single words. Now, you write a post where you use these words as much as you can. Off course, you should write something meaningful.
That’s It! Try it and enjoy your new popularity.

Right link is http://technorati.com/pop/, when I wrote this article year and a half ago, Technorati was different. You should be prepared for changes.
There is now similar trick with http://search.twitter.com/ and their trending topics. However, many services are now available where you can find what is popular not only daily but hour by hour.
