Finding the most profitable niche to build your blog could be quite daunting.
Finding the most profitable niche to build your blog could be quite daunting. There is a blog for nearly all topics. Type in the key words for the topic you are searching in google search box and you will see all the available blogs/articles up there. You scratch your head and think of something impressive and out of the ordinary with less competition to blog about? Where on earth do you get that rare topic to capture attention and drive thousands if not millions of visitors daily. Finding the most profitable niche for your blog with impressive title is like looking for a needle in the haystack. Do I say that to discourage you. No not at all. Don’t despair you can still make money with a blog. A BIG YES. How?
Ok you are using google adsense ads and affiliate programs (Amazon, click banks, …) on your blog but you don’t see results. You might think that you pick the wrong niche and you are looking for the most profitable one. In fact there is no niche which is better than the other. It’s true that some topics brings in more money compare to other topics but there is an audience for every topic.
Here Are a Few Tips
- Start by writing on things you like most: why because its easier to find ideas. They simply flow naturally from within. Be passionate about what you write. You are free to search information but its better when your topic is original. Uniqueness is the best. It could be music, pet, fashion, cooking, whatever it is there is an audience for every topic. You might start with an unfamiliar subject but soon you discover that it is a hassle. Having no clue about a particular topic leads you to do a lot of research and spend a lot of time without obtaining satisfied results, your blog will not be interesting either and it will be felt while reading; whereas when you are passionate and love what you do, that becomes your strength.
- Create more than one blog: Depending on the topics, some subjects bring in more visitors than others. For example music, health, insurance and finance are topics which attract more visitors but you have many more stuffs which also attract visitors. People have a variety of tastes, they might prefer one thing particularly but they also like other stuffs, therefore creating a few blogs with different topics is an advantage.Three to four blogs is reasonable and easy to update on a weekly basis.
- Update your blog often: Blogging once every fortnight is ok but don’t expect to be successful. If you have a commercial blog, your aim is probably to make money, therefore you have to update your blog as aften as possible. People like fresh information. Updating your blog with fresh information at least thrice a week is the minimum but everyday is better. Never try to write more than two entries in one day. It’s a pain, keep your energy going don’t exhaust yourself. One entry each day will bring seven entries per weeek and thirty /thirty-one entries a month. That,s reasonable.
- Market your blog: Blogging and simply hanging it on the internet and waiting for people to read is a waste of time. You need traffic. We all know the song: No visitors no money. If people don’t visit your blog you cannot expect to make money. Marketing your blog is simply sharing it with people. You can use social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon, Digg and you can also ping your blog using pingoat.com or autopinger.
- Don’t focus on the money: You are creating a blog to make money right. But if you keep thinking about the money all the time, you lose interest and quit. It happens to me. I took three and half years to research the topic of online business and another two years to start blogging and I wasted time. I created blogs over blogs and left them aside. I could really stick to one thing at a time. I wrote something, put it there on the internet and after two hours I would go to my google adsense account to check my account. Each time I saw zero on my account I was annoyed. That’s how I created blogs over blogs and ended up quiting everything. I started seeing success when I changed all that. I started blogging seriously a few months ago and try to post one entry thrice a week and I have already $5 on my account sine the two months. Im now trying to post one entry each day and Im patient. I know with time it will bring me more money if I work hard enough. A blog takes a minimum of one to three months to bring a few dollars in your pocket . Keep working and forget about the money in due time you will get your reward.
- Apple tree take time to bear apple. You start by preparing the soil and put a small plant in it. It takes a few month or even more than one year in the first place to become an apple tree then another months to grow apples. The same process applies to blogs and blogging it takes time. You won’t cut the apple tree six month after planting it thinking that “it’s useless, it won’t bear fruits”. You simply wait. In the mean time you take care and water it from time to time. That’s what you do with you blog.
- Hard work is always rewarding. Blogging can bring in a lot of money . You start blogging on fashion and you discover that there are hundreds or thousands of blogs on fashion and you quit blogging on that subject in the middle of the road? That’s a mistake beacuse each and everyone has a particular way to say something on one and the same subject. We all have a unique way to convey message and present information in our own different style. It’s like in a supermarket there are different brand for the one and same item and many customers like to take their time to go through each of them. Same happen with blogs. People like see what others have to say on the same subject.
