Confessions of a Sex Blogger

Before I was the Editor/Publisher of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, I published a blog on blogspot.com that had Adsense ads.  The Gazette is on WordPress.  WordPress does not allow ads.  I moved to WordPress because I deleted my blogspot blog.  I had been banned by Adsense because of the explicit content on the blog.  I wrote pornography.

Why did I write porn, flash fiction stories full of raw sex?  Because of the number of hits I got every day.  I was making money.  The type of online writing I was doing is BIG business.

You will be surprised where I got the idea for a blog with adult short stories as an important part of the content.  My niece is a web cam stripper.  Her name is Brianna Frost.  You can google her.  She goes by her mother’s maiden name.  For a while there she was an Internet sensation.  One of her videos would get a million hits in a month.  She made a good living at it, too.  A one month membership to her site was $19.95.

I figured if she could make good money from sex I could make good money from sex, too.  Of course I’m not young, shapely, female and beautiful.

So, I became a sex blogger.  And Adsense banned me for life.  I forget the name of my old blogspot blog.  Once I realized my career blogging porn was over I deleted the blog.  My real name was all over it.  At least I hope no one can find it.

That’s what I did for money.  Brianna has since moved to Arizona to be with her boyfriend.  She and I were never close.  I’ve had no contact with her since she was a little girl.  I wish her luck.  She’ll need it.  She won’t always be young, shapely and beautiful.

I know what money, the dream of a lot of money, can do to you.

Petalm, it was a walk on the wild side. It’s all part of my journey as a writer and a blogger.

royee, I certainly learned a lot about blogging and finding an audience. But I’m really glad I got out of it because I really didn’t want people to know what I was writing.

mo, adult reading actually has a long and respected history; but it’s really not what I want to write. I did it strickly for the money.

  4. People have done worse things for money and you clearly had an audience, but I can see why you would want to get out. If you didn’t want people to know what you were writing it shows that you were not comfortable with what you were doing. Thank you for writing about it.

Frances, once I knew I wasn’t going to make a lot of money I wanted nothing to do with it. I was just another hungry writer trying to make a fast buck.

  6. won’t always be young, shapely and beautiful – very true

Mythili, in webcam stripping you’re old at thirty. She’s around twenty four. She started stripping when she was nineteen. She has aged. I can see it in her face. She is no longer that young sweet thing doing something cute but naughty.
