Both Triond and Knoji are sites where people are paid to write articles and earn on views, but they are very different websites. I do not want to say that one is better than the other, just that they are different.
Knoji is the new name for the company formerly known as Factoidz. The name change was to mark the start of many changes on that site. The new Knoji site still allows people to write articles but they have tried to become more of a database for company information and coupons.
Note that the information provided is accurate as of August 2012 for both sites, but could change at any time.
At the current time I earn slightly more than a dollar a day for views alone on Knoji, and only slightly more than that on Triond. Triond offers an addition of paying via Google Adsense, but this is not available to everyone and some people have been rejected and banned from using it. I get double the views on Knoji as I do on Triond, but clearly the pay per view on Triond is higher.
There are some of my articles on Knoji that have not got a single penny earned for their views, even though they have thousands of views. This is because in addition to paying per view, Knoji offers upfront payments, so writers can earn money as soon as their article is published, in some cases this is just a few cents, in other cases it is a few dollars.
Knoji also offers writers a chance to write company reviews, promote coupons, and has oodles of other opportunities.. but a writer must qualify first! In some cases earnings are pennies, in other cases it can be up to $20.00 for one article!
As mentioned a person must qualify to be a Knoji writer, they have to apply and write articles that get approved or rejected. This weeds out those with poor English grammar, and whose who “cheat”.
Triond, on the other hand accepts all people but will remove articles when found (and reported by other users) to contain poor grammar, or be the result of cheating. They will remove members who repeatedly cheat.
Triond offers writers many writing platforms and even accepts opinion articles, personal rants, poetry, and short stories, all of which Knoji rejects.
Triond allows writers to republish their articles anywhere, and to remove them if they want. Knoji does not allow either.
All in all both are great sites, but every different from each other. I enjoy using both and have been paid consistently and on time by both sites.
To note, one of my most viewed Triond Articles is “How to Get Rid of an Unwanted Pet“, which over the past three years has earned me over $100.00 total.
One of my most viewed Knoji Articles is “Why is My Cat Vomiting“, which has not earned a penny other than the payment I got when it was published over a year ago. However, because I write company reviews, such one for “GardensAlive!” and such, my overall monthly earnings for Knoji are more than double what I make on Triond.
Of course, I also have to plug WebAnswers, a terrific site which pays people by Google Adsense simply for asking and answering questions. You do have to qualify by answering 50 questions first, before you can hook up to Google Adsense, but for many people this can be done in a day or two.

Very informative. I think I am earning the most from WebUpon. My most viewed articles on Triond are the pet stories. I am very disappointed that TheRealOwner is paying so little all of a sudden.

Glad to know this because I don’t write for Knoji.

Good comparison Brenda. I’ve stopped writing for Knoji as, living in the southern hemisphere, I’m not able to contribute to the product reviews that they now seem to prefer. Also, my style of writing, based on opinion more than fact, suits Triond more. However, I will say Knoji has always been good at paying me, though I’m not in your league I’m afraid! What you earn daily is what I earn per month from both sites!!!!!

To be honest I cannot get into Knoji but when I did some articles they did pay me some nice bonuses. Their editorial can be painful about minor things in my view. Talking of which, have you tried Suite 101?
Triond indeed accept all genres. They only objected when I plagiarised myself! I find them very convenient and the community there is most supportive. No idea why, but I’m big in China now!

At one time, Factoidz would actually ban you for associating your articles with Triond. Times change.

Thanks for the comparison. I tried another site once and found I barely have the time to write for Triond much less another site. I am sad that Triond is paying so poorly again. This time last year I was making between $50 to $100 a month, since the first of the year I barely make $20 to $30 a month. You must be a wonderful time manager as I know you have a farm and work a full-time job. I’m not sure how you find the time to write for so many.
