Blogging

It is really easy to build yourself a blog when you know how to do it. These simple instructions will enable anyone to do it. It’s simple, fast and free.

It is very easy to build your own blog (web log) and you can do it free of charge. These web “diaries” can be used for personal records of your life you want to share with others, family, etc., or for business purposes. You can soon build a readership if you have something interesting to say.

Choose your theme, subject, or decide what your blog will be about. For example, you might have an interesting job and you can post interesting articles about that, or a hobby that you want to tell people about.

Next you need somewhere to host you blog. Preferably somewhere free! There are a number of websites offering free blog space but they are not all easy to use. If you are familiar with html and you know a bit about web design you could try a site like
Wordpress
, but there is an excellent option at Blogger.com.

This is a simple three step method. You sign up (free), choose your design, and start blogging. Blogger gives you a dashboard which allows you to access your blog, make changes, add new stuff and see who has left you messages and comments. You can have more than one blog if you wish and you can change the template as often as you like.

Once you have started posting to your blog you will want to attract more readers. Get your blog listed with some of the larger blogging communities on the web like
Buzz and Blogcatalog. This will help you to increase readership and you will be able to place advertising on you blog if you wish to and make a little money. Some blogs make lots of money and others have been turned into books, so there are many possibilities out there.

If you have an idea then it’s simple to start. It will take a lot of time to build up your readership, but if you read other blogs and leave comments, people will read yours.

Happy blogging!
