Blogging with Triond

Blogging

Carefree blogging is at your finger tips.

I do have my own personal blog but I like blogging on Triond better.  The reason is simple.  I get far more page views on Triond than I get on my personal blog.  So I’m in the process of changing my attitude toward Triond.  I’m trying to get into the habit of thinking of Triond as my personal blogging platform.

The reason I like Triond as a blogging platform is how simple it is to use.  I publish content and Triond does everything else.  It takes care of the business part of the blogging.  It takes care of the online marketing and the promotion part of the blogging.

It takes care of the formatting of my articles.  All I have to do is write.  I don’t even have to worry about collecting the money.

Of course Triond does this for everyone in the Triond community; but to take full advantage of Triond as a blogging platform a Triond writer has to think of his or her Triond account as a blog.  And all successful blogs have the same thing.

Successful blogs have a narrow focus but they also cover things beyond the narrow focus to bring in new readers.  Successful blogs publish often.  Five times a week is a good average.  Bloggers of successful blogs try to create a community by encouraging comments and replying to those comments.

So, if you don’t have a personal blog and you would like to have one, don’t worry about it.  Think of your Triond account as your personal blog and get busy.  Find things in your personal life that will entertain or inform.  Use tags wisely so that readers can find you and will come back for more.

I must be missing out on something. I post here every day and thought I had a large fan-reader base. I just don’t get the views, the hits, and the comments and look at what I blog about: everything! Gee, what’s a guy got to do to get noticed around here?

  2. ken bultman Says:

One blog is enough. There are a lot of wonderful things to do besides hanging around the computer.

    Like your view..

I am not sure I agree that all successful blogs have narrow focus. However I accept that a blog with a broader focus needs to be careful to keep a sense of identity.

  5. Jane Benitez Says:

Enjoyed your article and I agree with you – Trinond is a great place to be.

Petalm, I was blogging on my personal blog and blogging on Triond and I was getting a far better response on Triond. Concentrating on Triond is a no-brainer. I just wish I had started on Triond when I started my personal blog. If I had my Triond account would have 1,000 titles in it instead of 180.

  7. Guy Hogan Says:

Papa, instead of blogging about “everything” blog about something more narrow. Every blog must have a core subject. On Triond I really only blog about two things: writing and blogging. Try to narrow your focus.

  8. Guy Hogan Says:

ken, you got that right. It’s just that after all these years I’ve found my perfect job: blogging. So, being on the computer for hours is no hardship for me. And I do take breaks. In a couple of hours I’m going to watch the Steelers on television.

  9. Guy Hogan Says:

giftarist, it’s not easy to think of Triond as a blogging platform but when you get right down to it that’s exactly what it is. That’s the way I want to approach publishing on Triond.

  10. Guy Hogan Says:

Frances, a “sense of identity” is a good way to put what I mean by a narrow focus. A successful blog will usually focus on something and expand from there while never losing sight of its focus.

  11. Guy Hogan Says:

Jane, I can’t express to you how lucky I feel that I discovered Triond. It’s the perfect fit for me.

I use Triond because it’s the only way I can get paid for blogging. I’ve had a blog for a few years, but I can only get a few views a day, so Triond is my number one blogging platform.

  21. deep blue Says:

Always a nice read, Guy. Patience is a virtue. You never could come up with a nice blog if you get easily bored writing.

  31. Atikin Says:

Do you know what Guy? I never thought of Triond as being a blog until now. It seems like a perfectly good idea if you find having a blog too tedious then this is actually a pretty good option AND you can mold your writing skills so seems like a win win situation to me!

  32. Guy Hogan Says:

Atikin, I’m still trying to approach Triond as my personal blog. It takes some getting use to.

  33. deklin42 Says:

Thanks for the advice. I should really try to respond to comments more often.
