The most powerful form of advertising has been set free! Blogging is widely used in Europe becoming the fastest ‘word of mouth” way to promote or diss a product according to a recent survey. People are reading blogs and it is having an effect on their spending.
About a third of the Europeans questioned said they had been put off making a purchase because they read off-putting comments on the Internet but others have purchased products because they had read good positive comments in a blog.
An Ipsos MORI poll found that the internet journals are a more trusted source of information than TV advertising or email marketing. This is still behind the newspapers though but it is apparent that people trust other people’s opinions rather than the hype of a marketing company.
Many people are using blogs to attract sales and promotions as well as just interacting with other people on the net. It can be a vent for your thoughts or a place to be purely creative and publish whatever you want. You can create an online journal of your holiday if you want and share it with the world. The possibilities are endless but it comes down to the needs of people needing other people.
I have a blog that I use for writing poetry and publishing my pictures. It just makes me feel good about myself and keeps me up to date with technologies that are available. I discovered all this information all by myself by clicking on this and clicking on that! I really love the internet and all the knowledge that you can access on it. Thanks Lucy. And so true. I also like the fact that you have worked your way through the virtual world yourself. I know so many who have either had advanced tuition or the opposite, have never bothered to even turn on a computer.

Really good article! I for one have learned much from reading
all the recent blogging, some great info, some not so great.
I have personally been liking it too much and need to remind
myself to turn off the computer. It has kept me from relaxing
by reading and more. It’s all good in moderation. I did like this article and all the thought and time you put into your work, very impressive. Thanks!
