Blogging for business has emerged out just like our regular business. There are thousands and thousands of people online who are earning good money from blogging online and they are known as “Bloggers”. In today’s world of competition, even big, companies has set up their own blogs to promote their products and services. I also had been using blog too to promote my business.

The reason why many people choose blog over website is that, blogs are quick and easy to set up. Whereas, website is little difficult to set up and not so easy to maintain. Creating a website is not as easy as creating a blog page. It also needs some specific knowledge about HTML, XML, PHP, etc. whereas, blogs can be created with built-in templates or simply customize the drag and drop feature such as in Blogger.com. When we create a website, we change the contents according to products and services that we offer but when it comes to blogs, we just update them on regular basis.

Blogging is a very powerful tool. If you are a business person, then I say, you should have your own blog. Let the world know about your business venture. As an individual blogger, you can also use blogging to earn few extra bucks at home. It is not necessary that only business people and companies make profit out of it, you can too. All you need to do, is sit, think and come up with an interesting topic or an article that might interest your readers. Quality content is very important. Nobody likes to read a boring topic!

There are many websites like Blogger.com or Weebly where you can set up your own blog for free. For beginners, Blogger and Weebly is a good choice to start with since both these websites offers you easy and simple drag and drop feature to build your site or blog.WordPress is also a very good option.

So, how can you make money from blogging?

A common use is by displaying ads. You can become a publisher and start displaying ads on your blogs. When visitors come to your site, they might find those ads interesting and might click on them, and when they do that, you made some money.The amount may only be from few cents to dollars per click but these numbers are just estimates. If your blog is popular and gets good amout of traffic everyday, you can start selling Ad Space directly to advertisers and monetize your blog. Blog with big audience can also offer to write sponsored reviews on wide range of topics and make money money.

Social Networking sites such as FaceBook and Twitter helps to promote, advertise and gain free traffic to your blog. Join websites such as Blogcatalog and Forums to increase visitors to your blog.
