You ever read the title of an article and immediately dismiss the blogger because you know the blogger can’t deliver what is promised? Great Wealth in Three Easy Steps!
I’ve actually clicked on these titles. Do I believe these titles? Would you believe such a title? I make a mental note of the blogger’s name and I move on.
That’s right. I’m a skeptic. A blogger does not get many shots at winning a reader’s trust. Just like a running back only gets so many chances not to fumble the ball.

Winning a reader’s trust is simple. The post on a blog should be well written and to the point. This shows the reader that you, the blogger, have control at least over the post; maybe you know what you’re blogging about. Your information, tips or advice must be valid. This goes without saying. And the blogger must never make claims that are obviously false.
Now let me say right here that there are many bloggers who make a career out of outlandish titles. They capture their audience with the title and then keep their readers because the blog is witty or captures the voice of an unheard audience or hits a nerve of a group and keeps hitting it or for some other reason. These bloggers are out of my league. Only very few bloggers can succeed at this kind of outrageous come on.
Most of us lowly, small bloggers will have to win readers and make money online the old fashion way: Writing blogs that give practical tips about ordinary goals. Like how to move ever close to making $1.00 a day blogging on Triond. That’s a doable goal for those who want to reach it. And if you can make $1.00 a day maybe you can…
A doable goal is one of the best ways for a blogger to build trust.
It takes many blog postings to build trust. It takes only a few postings to damage that trust.

Well you seem to hit it with your titles Guy
Keep it up with the winning formula Guy. Another good piece.;)

A.L. Smith, goals are important. Realistic goals are even more important.

Very well said. To catch a reader’s attention is one thing, to keep them reading is another, but the best part is to keep them coming back for more. You do those all very well.
There are no fast bucks to be made. Just keep slogging along and trust to your hard work and a little luck.
Just like any field, when someone in that field does something that is untrustworthy, it does everyone in that arena a disservice. We must all do our best to write with honest integrity, for the good of all. Great work.
Blessings.
Sincerely,
-Liane Schmidt.
Hardwork and keeping the readers interested is very important!
Why do you respond to comments on this site? Commenters never return to read your responses. Are you just adding to your comment count?
