What is Limewire?

Limewire is a type of software application which allows people to share their files with others through the internet. These files can be of anything such as music, videos, documents and images.

Can I find anything and everything?

I cannot guarantee that you will find everything and anything on Limewire. It all depends on the popularity of the file that you require. For example: if you were to search for Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ song, there is a high possibility that you will easily find thousands of files to choose from.

However, this also depends on what version of Limewire you have downloaded onto your computer.

You can download a free version but it is recommended to buy the improved Limewire Pro. There isn’t a big difference with Limewire Pro but it does let you download files much faster than the free version. But I would recommend that you do not buy Limewire Pro as it could waste your money.

Is it safe to use Limewire on my computer?

Due to the fact that the people are sharing their files with others, I would advise you to stay away from Limewire as it has potential of causing your computer to crash. Some files that you may download can transfer viruses into your computer. The real culprit here is in fact the person who holds the file at first but he/she purposely inserts viruses into them.
