You have saved your hard earned money and the time has arrived to purchase your first iPod.  The rush of joy and excitement which you experience from owning this wonderful technological device is quickly tempered. When you are buying tunes from the Itunes store, it is a good idea to listen to the song snippet available online to make sure that you are downloading the artitst and version of the song that you really want, as there are many remakes of songs that are available for purchase.  Buying music is simply 1-click shopping.  Clicking the buy button allows you to purchase and download into your personal library.

After creating your music library, it is now time to transfer the music onto your iPod.  Connect your iPod to your computer, using the illustrated directions that are found in the case with your iPod.  When the iPod icon appears in the Itunes window select it.  You can automatically update your iPod with all of the songs and playlists in your library by selecting “sync music” and then select all the songs and playlists.  The songs and playlists in your itunes library are then loaded onto you iPod.  You can automatically update your iPod with only certain playlists or you can opt to sync your iPod manually.  In an event that you are having difficulty with any of the procedures, help is easily available online at the apple website under support.
