Ever wanted to listen to music online without having to download it and without having to pay for it. I have found that Pandora is the way to go. An online radio station that takes into account what you like.

The standard radio stations in your local area play a small fraction of the music that is out there and chances are you hate between 50 and 75 percent of it. Combine that, with comercials, and you get about 15 minutes of music every hour that you like. The rest of the time, you are probably surfing the other stations to find something that you like.

Until recently, I had completely stopped listening to music because the radio just sucks so badly. A friend of mine told me about a website called pandora.com and this has changed my whole outlook on music and I actually enjoy listening to it again. This website puts the control of the music in your hands. You get to create your own station based upon a song or a band that you like and then you get to refine it by adding variety to your station. You can add artists or songs to mold the sound of your station to what you like. The player then takes over and plays what it knows you like with some suggestions of things that you might like mixed in. If you don’t like a suggestion then you rate it a thumbs down and it never gets played again on that station. Thumbs up adds the music to the station and helps make it more for you.

If you like several different genres of music, you can combine them for the ultimate mix of what you like, or you can create multiple stations with different genres in each. When you are listening to one station and you hear a song that would be better suited in another one of your stations, you can move it. If a song is overplayed you can tell the player to shelve it for a month. This keeps the songs fresh and can help the player not wast time playing that song, so it can suggest more things.

Not only is Pandora a music player, it also provied information about artists, albums and songs. Bios for every artist are available. Most of the albums have information that can be accessed and many of the songs have lyrics conveniently located below the player itself.

This is the best online radio I have found. I use it everyday and I totally recommend this to everyone, no matter what your music preference. I have alreadty discovered a handful of bands that I would have never known about without Pandora. So visit Pandora.com and make your music experience better.
